MAGNI ROBOT: Mobile Autonomous Ground Navigation Integrated Robot for Optimizing Base Operational Tasks
Amount: $74,863 Topic: AFX247-PCSO1
Airmen frequently encounter time-intensive tasks like moving items within warehouses, across flightlines, and on-and-off aircraft in their daily duties. Airmen cumulatively spend thousands of hours carrying objects from one location to another throughout a year. Consequently, the hours spent on these administrative tasks aggravates inefficiencies and creates operational delays. To address this productivity challenge, Ubiquity Robotics proposes its MAGNI conveyance robot to automate these transportation tasks, conserving both time and manpower. Ubiquity Robotics will conduct R/R&D to determine how to modify/adapt the MAGNI form factor and sensing modalities for cargo, tools, and parts transportation in DAF warehouses, hangars, and flightlines.Ā
